That is very hard on your friend TB, I feel for her :( I had to wait for seven days and that was hard enough. I just wanted to know one way or the other. I do so hope it will be good news for her.

Thank you all. :grouphug:
Yes, you're right, it's the waiting that's hard. If it's something sinister, it's not good to have to wait.
:(

Rose, I will take a picture over the weekend. :)

Just to let you all know that I've sent TOF's a letter by email.
I attached the pictures of the group photo of the cards and also put a link to this thread if they want to read it through for themselves.
:D
I'll be taking a picture of Rosemary's extra card over the weekend to put on here and then next week will send the cards off to them.
I've told them I'll email again once the cards are in the post.

I'll let you know when I hear back!

Well I received a lovely reply back from TOF's which I will put on here for you all to read.
I was able to tell them that the previous round we got 30 cards and 90 for this round, so you can see what a brilliant effort you all made ...

Anyhow, the reply!

Dear Kim
Hello and thank you for your email. Gosh - what a result - three times the last one and lots of work gone into making those I'm sure. Your timing's particularly good as we can sell them at our forthcoming conference - thus avoiding postage costs if they're heavy... Please convey out thanks to all who contributed. Joe's got a real patchwork quilt of cards there and isn't he a handsome lad as well. This is much appreciated. I'm assuming you're members of TOFS - I haven't had a chance to look as yet but I'll try and remember to let you know how much money these raise.
Thanks again, and best wishes to you and Joe and Liz and Oliver.

Kind regards
Diane Stephens

I had real trouble putting that post on, is anyone else having problems with the reply box? :?

I'll PM Chris anyhow, as it's only since the last forum update.

TBear, I've had problems with the reply box too - did you install the latest version of Internet Explorer recently (v8)? I think this might be causing the problem as I clicked on the compatibility box (torn sheet of paper near the box where you type in the web site name) and I've not had any problems since.

Hi Susan, Threadbear alerted me to this problem and I will look into it. It does sound like and IE8 issue - I'll try to see if its an issue with the forum working on IE8 or with IE8 itself.

Just a quick note. I did a quick search an apparently it is a know IE8 issue that is affecting this forums software and a host of other scripts as well.

People are waiting for Microsoft to release a patch for IE8 :x: .

The best solution for the time being if you are using IE8 is to use the compatibility tab which will basically switch the browser back to IE7 while you are on the site.

Technobable over. Back to the TOF chat...

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: to all who took part, which, to my shame  , does not include me. I regret that real life has precluded me from taking part this time, despite my intentions.

This thread is a credit to all of you who donated your time and efforts to help TOFs.
