Well, here it is. Linda's beautiful finish inspired me to crack on with mine ...
i) the front,

and,
ii) the back

I'm happy with the stitching, but the sewing of the two sides isn't as neat as it might be - I'm no seamstress!!

The mitten is stuffed with lavender too so it smells good!

Very lovely Slinky.

I am a bit sad know as I did not stitch the exchange info on mine. Since I glues the felt to the inside I can not take it apart to do it now. :(

Rose, how about an (aida) tag shaped label that you could attach, with the details stitched on that, I am thinking of maybe doing that with the stitchers friendship exchange rather than stitching on the item itself.

Lovely mittens everyone :applesauce: :applesauce:

Well that's kind of you to say, Mabel, but the script was an experiment - both a success and disappointment.

I thought I'd try the 'convert your own handwriting to stitching using graph paper' technique, so the text "Mitten Swap" is my handwriting! It came out ok, but no better.

As I felt that wasn't as neat as I'd like, I used a different 'font' for the "Made by" line. I'm pleased with this because I made it up as I stitched it and this time it came out rather well, I think.

Lovely Slinky. I almost did mine that way too but found the beaded ribbon and had to add it. Like your script too.

I honestly do think the two different "fonts" work well together -- it's the contrast I suppose, but I really like it; I think you're probably doing the "being overly critical about our own work" bit that we are so good at here :-)

Arggh! :x I was stitching mine together yesterday afternoon using my mum's sewing machine, and when I trimmed off the excess fabric I cut it a little too close to the stitching and have to start all over again as the fabric frayed and I can't save it

Wendy is going to let us know when it is time to send them out at the end of the month I think.
