Small bag made by myself

Post by chloe »

Yesterday evening, I carried the small bag made by myself when I was in the store. When two women passed me, one of them told the other one" Look at that bag! So lovely!"..Then, the other one looked back. At that time, I was happy. Now, I am still very happy.. If you see a woman carring this bag, she is me~~~~

No wonder the women looked back, it's such an unusual and individual bag -- how did you make it?

1. Cut out a piece of cloth in the size of 10cm*10cm;
2. Cut out a piece of cloth in the size of 8cm*8cm;
3. Make a breach ini the 8cm*8cm cloth (in order to fill in the cotton later);
4. Sew the two pieces of cloth together (one is 10cm*10cm and the other is 8cm*8cm; of course there is crease on each side after sewing; the crease will make the small bag like puff after filling in the cotton);
5. Filling in the cotton;
6. Close the breach;
7. Make more like this. Then, sew these very small bags together to form the shape you like.

Hi Chloe,
I've only joined recently so have just seen your lovely puffy pink bag. It's such a clever idea - did you think it up yourself? You've used some pretty pink fabrics. I'm thinking it could be a way of using material from other loved items - past year's dresses, for example. Then they could live on in another form! Might have a go.
Thank you for sharing your bag with us.
