papillion creations

Post by minij »

Although I should be stitching 3 projects at the moment, 2 of which need to be finished by end April early May, I wanted to try something small and quick but a little different to what I usually do so I have printed of the two following free charts and started on Moonlight serenade. I am stitching it on white 16 ct and using carries threads, only uses 2 colours but I am changing it slightly. Not sure what I will do withit when finished :thinks: , could I make a biscornu out of it, I have never done one of those :thinks: The other chart I have printed is Love Letters.

This is what I have done so far, I have used Carrie's Creation thread in baby pink and Boysenberry. In the original there is not so much of the second colour, so I have changed it a bit.

Oh, I really like that colour combination, it shows it off very well!

Cockneystitcher, if you want to see any of their designs "in real life", have a look at their gallery which is full of pictures sent in by stitchers from all over the world, and it includes picture of the freebie designs.

Such a pretty design - the chart on the website really doesn't do it justice, and it lends itself so nicely to all manner of colour combinations. The perfect choice for trying out variegateds!

I love the colours you have chosen for this. Looks like - I'm guessing - 14ct Aida? How big is the design, roughly?
