Lauramac--a few completed works

Australian Alphabet. This took 10 years to complete. 36 count, 2 over 1. These stains are a harsh lesson in keeping clean. Be careful with food or drink!!

Another lesson learned. Don't let your trusty, job on the side, framer use cardboard for the backing.

This Norman Rockwell was the first I had ever done.

I've done many pieces in these years. Gave them away to family members, the pretty ones :thinks:

Is it just me or do you look at something and think that would be pretty cross stitched?

These are lovely pieces. I'm sorry about the framing problem though!

Lovely work there, I'll take the tip about the cardboard backing in case I frame any of my own!

You have some amazing projects. They really really look great. :( Bummer that the cardboard messed up one of your pictures. Look forward to some new projects.

I really think the floral is beautiful ! They are all pretty though. I used to glue!! the piece to cardboard on the edges only and boy that was a mistake. I love to look at what other stitchers have done and wonder if i could do it too. Those L&L's or HAED's look mighty daunting!!

Since it has been a few years since I cross stitched and it was limited for a few years before that, the 'fancy' ones are kinda new to me. I see that many of you are working on more than one project, so i am thinking why not me? I am dying to get one of the Mystic Stitch's but then I am afraid I'll want something else instead after I get going on it. Like an HAED. So fabulous. But, then MS is having that 4 for 38.00 sale. Decisions, decisions. Now what is L and L??

I may try framing my next project myself. We'll see. Framing is sooo expensive. But, heck, if I put in all those hours of work I figure it deserves someone who knows how to do it. Plus, I'm not real imaginative on the colors and frame style.

love
