Have never encountered a chart that was wrong - well, not with the number of stitches, I have had charts with wrong symbols - it must be a nightmare for you. Hope you manage to work it out!!

oh yes ! finally after having a stress free day i have sat all day today restitching the area that has caused me so many problems and counted every stitch and marked them off on a fresh chart i have finally worked out why it wasnt working! im going to admit it was my error and i can finally get on with it, not got much done but enough to be happy with .this is the start of the geisha at the bottom of the picture.

Somehow, it's much better for our pride if the maker got it wrong - BUT it's much easier to put right if WE get it wrong, lol! Glad you got it sorted! Well done!
