No, there are no fractionals, but the fabric is very much part of the piece, I felt. That's why I'm using such a high fabric count. At 32ct it's still quite a large piece.

But it is 32 over two, I assume?

I will have to go over my stash, but I am afraid I don't have anything smaller count than 14 Aida or 28 linen. Not sure, though. Of course, if I don't have any, I will have to buy some - what would you suggest? Linen or evenweave?

Agi, if you're willing to try a higher count and you would like linen for the look but not too many slubs, I could send you a piece of antique white 36ct linen -- I bought up the remainder when the shope closed down, so I've got about a metre and a half full width of it, which I'm never going to use up, so if you'd like some just tell me the dimensions and I'll send it off to you.

Hijack away! :D

Yes, the 32ct was over 2  don't think I could manage 32ct over *gulp* one...
Let me dig around in my stash, too, and see if I have any 32ct big enough to be useful *runs off to check, but may be some time because stash is like that, you know?*

Edit: Yes! I do have 32ct -- lots of it -- but it's white, not cream. You are very welcome to it if you would like it! :D :D :D

Thank you, Serinde. Actually, Mabel has already promised to send me a piece of 36 count - I hope I can manage it. Since part of my Christmas money is going on the glasses I need, I really hope so.

I am really excited about this project, you know.

Here it is! Finished, although still to be framed. (This is what I was doing instead of the Ink circles carpet page!)

I so enjoyed doing this piece. The blackwork was initially a challenge, and then the 'how' of tackling the individual designs started to make sense. It only took about 3 days to do most of the bottom right quadrant. I thoroughly recommend this design. A pleasure.

Oh Serinde, this is beautiful. Absolutely delightful. The use of variegated threads makes for such an interesting effect. You must be delighted with it!

Ink Circles designs have been moved onto my "Must Do" list having seen this one.

Please do post a pic of it framed in due course. I hope you will hang it where it can be admired!!

Lovely work.

Oh, Serinde, this is fantastic! Congratulations! It is even more beautiful than I thought! Your photo is so much better than the one they have on the Ink Circles (or Celtic Rose) site. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

I am starting mine as soon as I finish the last segment of the Boink. I have it all kitted. Threads rinsed and bobbined. Can hardly wait, but wanted to be a good girl and finish the other one first. :)

It's a beautiful piece of work and I can't wait to see it framed -- the blackwork makes it so delicate and the variegated threads work very well with the knotwork, lovely!
