You are making loads of progress. She looks so very good. Bless you for your patients with the gas men. They are a frustration I am sure. :x

I think you are doing amazing with this, especially considering what you're battling against with the cold there and the 'men not at work'!

Thanx everyone for your comments  I got a grand total of none done yesterday, i was too busy keeping an eye on the chappys *scowls* in my garden. The noise was unbelievable. They filled the big hole in while systematically trashing the rest of my garden. At one point the 'driver' of the jcb reversed over his own barriers (!) and later on nearly reversed into my livingroom window! There's now lovely gouge marks down the grass where he tried to scrape the cack off his scoop thingy. And Steve, my OH, had a look at the path after they'd gone, he seems to think they've cracked it in a couple o' places. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. The hole in the path hasn't been re-concreted yet so we've got the drawbridge thing still by the door.
(they'll be back at some point today, i reckon, 2 of the neighbours holes haven't been filled yet)
It was both the boilermen complaining to us about the R's over elbow job they're making of it, when they came to switch the gas back on, that set us thinking 'eh up? is it not s'posed to be this bad, then?'
Today, skirt, scroll up a bit, gold swirls *touches wood*

Grrr, how annoying is that? They'll have to put it all right though once it's done won't they?

*wonders if letting them put it right could be as scary as them making it wrong in the first place!*

No, it should not be this bad. Which organisation has hired these clowns? Phone 'em. Then write and send your photos. They don't sound as if they are properly trained. They sound like the consequence of 'lowest bid tendering'... Make sure you have photos of all the mess, cracked pavements and etc.

Sounds like your public works people are as useless as ours. Down at the shop they have been trying to fix a water problem for almost a month. At least it is the shop and not my house. Poor you. Hope your garden gets put to rights soon.

CrazyCat, i've got 2 elbesee frames, one's 24" and the other's 27" (that one's a bit buckled now  ) i've got the floor stand for em too, also a leetle beet buckled; Steve's fixed it for me a couple o' times. I'm a bit heavy-handed with these things.
The gas-pests are Morgan -Est, there's a 'p' missing in that, isn't there...... They've made their way around the corner onto the next road now, thanky thanky there is a god.
I got some done yesterday, the big border is done, yay...

Image

..and i couldn't resist taking these pics of my kitchen last night..

..it looks like i live the house of 18 cats dunnit, nope there's only the one. This floor was spotless til 5 mins before, (cos of the 'works' i've had to scrub it every day cos there's no avoiding treading the mud in; the doormat is ruined) then Syd ventured outside for the first time all day at tea-time, was only out about 5 mins, came back in, and did this.
The Culprit.

It's a very cute culprit :-) -- and he obviously felt he had to make up for all that time he didn't go out and so failed to put muddy paw prints on your floor....

Your lady is so beautiful. I can't believe how fast you ladies are able to stitch. Mine never go that fast. I just can't sit for more then a bout 45 minutes and then my back gets stiff and I have to move. I used to be able to sit longer then that. :(

Your kitty couldn't possibly have made that mess you must have elves. Look at that innocent face. How could you accuse that face of messing the floor. @rotfl:
