Eeyore's star FINISHED!!

Post by K1nS »

Hey all, I was browsing through and saw you like to post your stitching work so I thought I would post mine. I am a massive fan of Eeyore, I came across this one from ebay.

Heres the reference image:

Heres where I am up to now:

All that is left to do is the detail and outline, which I find really hard to do! I was wondering if you guys knew any tips that could help me out? Thanks so much! :D

looks great well done :applesauce: Im not keen on backstitch either, my only tip is to use a sharp needle-it will go through the aida easier if you have to go through a block!

I don't mind backstitch. I tohught I would hate it, but I like the way it brings the picture to life.

Your chart will show you where to place the backstitch. However, I would suggest you do the outside line of backstitch first, then start on the internal detail.

One question, probably a silly one - do you actually know how to backstitch? You chart should have a detailed little instruction on the chart, but if not, and you need further guidance, there is a thread somewhere in the forum that shows stitches. I'll look for it for you...

He is very cute. You have done a great job stitching. Don't let the backstitching worry you it will come out fine and it makes a picture look so good. I like to backstitch.

Hey all, I have been putting off doing bs for so long on this eeyore. I have messed up quite alot actually looking back to it now with the stitching but I thought I mays well try and finish it off anyway, ive got nothing to loose. As promised, I will do a bit of bs each day until its finished (mel and sam :P) so heres the first lot. I thought the best way to do it was start with a new strand and once that has gone then I will stop for the time being, that way I dont get annoyed with doing it lol

I shall post another update tomorrow :)
