I finally finished up the Cats and Cups. I left the bee off and I put them up on a shelf. :) They looked funny just setting there in space. Is it just me or do the words look off set. I put the dimensions into my PC Pro and words were set to the middle of the pattern but they just look a bit off to me. :thinks:

Now I am off to make my son's gift.

Just stared at em for ages, the lettering looks fine to me R. I like the one with his bottom stuck up in the air, reminds me of our cat sticking his whole head in OH's cup to drink the dregs of cold tea. :applesauce:

Is the exclamation mark slightly over?, but this could just be how the material is laying. I measured the scientific way with marks on a bit of paper.

That shelf looks as thought it's always been part of the chart -- great designing!

I've been staring at the lettering, and trying to measure it on-screen, and I wonder did you add the exclamation mark later? In that case the text would be centred but the punctuatio would throw it slightly off.

No the lettering and the exclamation mark were added all at the same time. I may have miscounted somewhere. I have been known to do that but it will be fine and the lettering is done in DMC Green Metallic. Had to add a bit of bling. :D Over all I am, very happy with the out come. Now just have to find the proper frame.

It is wonderful Rose. :applesauce:

If you feel the lettering is a bit off centre, how about putting just a hyphen before "coffee" to even it up?

I meant to ask Rose, how did you get the shelf such a perfect size, was it a design you had already, or did you alter one or did you make it up from scratch yourself?
Great idea though, I just went back for another look, it looks like they were made for that shelf!

I was going to see if I could make it look like the cups were setting on a table but as I worked up the pattern I just could not get it to look right. I had stitched all of the cup first and then went to my PC Pro Program and started to play with what I could set them on. As I played I remembered another pattern I had that had a shelf with some jars setting on it. The shelf was on about 60 stitches wide so I took it and extended it out I then did not like the way the shelf made it look like the cups set at an angle so I added the stitches in between the cups and as I played with it, it just finally looked like a shelf with cups setting on them. So it was a bit of all that you asked, it was a pattern I had that I extended to make the right size and then added my own touches to to make it work properly.
