Stockings- SAL-FINISHED!!!!

These are looking beautiful, I think I will make some stockings next year

This is the last picture I took of the stocking. I've gotta wait on the other two colors to come in before I can finish it. I got the dark green in. I'm further along than the picture shows, I've got all of the back stiching done on everything but the unfinished bush and red bird (on the toe). I've also got most of the french knots done.

Thanks!! I might have it done on time. I don't think I want to take my chances at sewing it up myself. I think I'm either going to talk my Mom into doing it for me or find someone who has more experience sewing. I'm going to get the fabric for all 4 stockings tomorrow so I have it and as I get them done I can have them sewn and completely finished.

Thanks!! I got the other colors I needed today AND I got fabric for all 4 stockings AND Taby's princess pillow. Now I either need to find someone to sew them for me or learn how to use my machine. I went to Joanns and they had a sign that said 60% off fabric right about all of the holiday stuff. I grabbed the wrong brand but since the sign didn't specify a brand they gave it to me discounted!! It was regular $4.99 a yard and I got it for $2 a yard. I'm going to finish the cross stitching on it tonight.

I went to Joann's yesterday to get a few things, too. It was crazy! We got there after 9 am, and got in line a little after 10. We were in line for at least 45 minutes!! Good luck finishing the stocking! We are getting ready to put up decorations, so I need to sew together my daughter's stocking I finished after Christmas last year so all 4 of us can have ours this year. I'll take pics after they're up so everyone can see them.

I don't do Black Friday so I made it a point to stay home till I had to leave. LOL. I went to WalMart before it was over but that was mainly to pick up a prescription and to grab a present for my son that was on sale. Joanns was busier than usual but probably not as busy as it had been. It was around 2 when I went.

I finished Taby's stocking last night!! That's 1 down and 3 to go. Hopefully all of them will be done by next Christmas.



Here's the fabric that I'll use for the lining (the candy canes and holly) and the backside of it (the dark blue. Taby picked out the candy canes, the dark blue will also be used on Nick's.
