I do not know if others are having problems accessing the forum but my windows based machines are refusing to access the forum claiming it has suffered with a phishing attack.

I am currently only able to access using an iPad.

:thinks: my pc still thinks something is phishing. It could be it needs a period for the wider net to realise the software has been reloaded.

Andorid seems to be ok.

I also noted that some of the emojis are not showing (on my iPad and android device): if I go to the extended set page about half are missing. :(

It's because your web browser still has the data in its cache. If you empty (clear) the cache, you will be able to access the site again without any issue. Or you could use a different browser on the same PC.

To empty the cache will depend on the browser, so I cant give specific help, but 'empty browser cache' when Googled with the browser name (e.g. Chrome or Firefox) will help. E.G 'empty Google Chrome browser cache'. Then when you refresh the page, all will be good.

I’ve cleared the last 7 days cache but the windows machine is still not playing ball. If I force the browser to ignore the security error then avast comes up with a threat blocked message.

I will continue looking at my windows machine hopefully others are not getting this problem. It a right pain trying to post pics of progress from this iPad …

Just tried chrome, edge and cleaner browsers. (New chrome installation) all coming up with the same phishing warning. The common factor is the avast virus checker.

Updated avast app, rebooted pc. Ccleaner webshield still blocking site. Turned off webshield and avast still reported blocking phishing threat.

Not getting anywhere… :ratherbe:

Just tried an XP machine. Same phishing warning and refusal to load the site.

I couldn't get on until I added this website as an exception to my antivirus software, which I am feeling a little apprehensive about - and various avatars and emojis etc not showing up. Alex, are you sure it's safe?

I've been in contact with advast about this. This morning I got a reply that they had removed the site from the reputation database. With the advice it may take 24 hours to go through as it will be a correction applied in the next virus update. Hopefully this will be passed on to all the antivirus software providers.

(Note: Emcons still not showing)

So the forum's reputation is OK again? Hurray! (Although like you I still can't see quite a few of the emojis). Yesterday I tried to get to the forum from a different computer and once again had to make the site an exception in my antivirus software. Hopefully that will not be necessary after the change has kicked in :x:
