Thank you Ladies,

I have found a "feature" the booklet says the beads should be attached using ECRU/5387/387. Neither 5387 or 387 are DMC numbers so I will look for a more suitable thread. I also question using ECRU through a gold bead

:thinks: I am going to go and have a look what my Celestial Dragon used.

Are those colours suggestions Madeira or Anchor shades?
You could use a transparent thread which wouldn't show through a gold bead.

Oh, and fantastic update BTW  :applesauce:

Thank you Wendy :D

I chose to use 422/3746/778. The two Mauve/Purple beads are transparent so I had to try a few different shades before I found a suitable thread colour.

All the beads are in place and she is finished :whoop:

I will post another photo of her once she is off the frame laying flat in natural day light rather than under the LED lighting.

Which to do next. :thinks:

The sun isn't shining but some pics in natural daylight :

Beads around the border:

And the net pattern filling the corners:

And lastly the SPRING flowers:

And on to the joys of setting up for the next one:

The Spring fairy is one of a set of four. Thankfully TW uses the same symbols for the same split colours on all four, but not in the same order on the list of colours. Three hours later I have: found the centre of the new piece of evenweave, sewen it to the rolling frame, taken many of the mixed thread pairs out of my needles and tied them to my old thread cards, made up new symbol strips for my needle holders, transferred some of the colour pairs used on my new piece onto the needles in the holders, made up new thread cards for this piece and finally added the missing additional DMC threads bobbinated into my Fairies bobbin box.

Phew! Ready to go again :D

She’s so pretty I can’t wait to see her friends. Do you enjoy the prep for each new piece? I know some people love the prep but for me it’s just an evil necessity. I do love putting in the first stitch, however.

The next one is under way:

I've made it out sufficiently far to be able to add the circle and outer frame :)

Thank you Ladies, It has taken a lot of counting to (hopefully) get it right. I've been using a ruler to do a quick check that I have the frame about the right size before counting the stitches out:

Image

I did go to the previous piece to get the correct measurements, where I found that the fabric is "not square" = the count vertically is less than the count horizontally. This means these pieces which should be square are not and I will have to modify the square frames I brought to mount them in :tantrum:

Well, it's nice to have one :-D but I think enjoying stitching is its own excuse!
