Thank you for staying in touch and praying Sally. We are ok as one can be in a country at war . Take Care.
So as at 5.15 tonight EAST THEY ARE OK

Again, thank you Sally! It would have been awful if we didn't have this "lifeline" to her! And I'm sure it is a little bit of extra comfort for her to know how much she is missed.

Poor Lyudmila. It’s great to hear that she is ok but terrible that her country is going through this.

The news has been so awful recently so it's good to know that she is OK and surviving the horrors as best as she can.

I've been thinking a lot about our Lyudmila. The last thing I heard was from Sally that she and her family were moving back to Kiev (email from ally as well as a post on the FB page) and nothing since. Just wondering if any of y'all who have her email address have heard anything. I was going to wait until someone posted, but patience is not always one of my best virtues. If you do send her emails, please let her know that I and I'm sure all of us are thinking about and for her.

Relief to know Lyudmila is safe, anyway. She's been much on my mind, but knowing she was in Kiev when most of the heavy fighting is in the east was a relief. Of course, the news this morning has proved the end of that.

Anyone heard from Lyudmila lately?

I was wondering that myself yesterday. Sally who was giving us the updates does not seem to have returned after the forum went down

I've sent off an email, but no reply yet.

Ive been worrying about her also. I've had a few emails with Sally while the forum was down. I'll try to get in touch with her again.

I've had a reply, and she thanks everyone and sends her love. She's living, so far safely, in the western part of the country, but there are still air raid sirens going off and missiles landing. Lyudmila is getting some stitching done, a piece, very romantic, that was given to her by a colleague a while back.

So I guess that's "as well as can be expected".

The fact that she can concentrate enough to do a bit of stitching is a good sign. Thinking about what she has gone through puts into perspective our "new normal".

Thank you for the information. I have been worried, as we all have, about her. And if she has found time to do some stitching that is good news.

I also have sent an email to Sally (Squirrel) and will let y'all know when I hear back from her.
