That is so pretty! I like how plump it is too.
I agree!

These aren't in focus, quite, but are the kumihimo braids I offered for my Guild of Weavers exhibition. I'd never mounted anything before, so this was a vertical learning curve! It was meant to be a beginning piece (on the left -- hope that's obvious...) and what I can do now. Can you see the fruit in the braids?

Good eyes! Pumpkin, strawberry and watermelon slice, which is my favourite, and the hardest to braid. They are all 20 strands -- not easy at all, no precious, they're not. So I don't expect to revisit these. They are from a free site, but are CSL Designs. Christina Larsen is very talented, and has also done a lot of kumihimo wirework... not a rabbit hole I intend to go down!
At today's Horticultural Show, I actually was awarded two second prizes for various embroideries. I was very pleased, as it's been a while (especially since a particularly talented lady from our stitching group decided to enter pieces -- boy, we all had to pull our collective socks up!) And here they are:
They are both beautiful Serinde, well done.
I resolved a long time ago to not enter anything in our show because a judge commented against a really beautiful entry that "it would have been better if you had ...." which I thought was beyond rude.

Both are beautiful and First Prize must have been unbelievable to have been any better than what you created. Congratulations. I admire those of you who are brave enough to enter your projects in contests.

Here is something I've been meaning to start and determined to finish this year. It's from Lakeside Needlework, one of four seasonal cottages. Plastic canvas.
And here is the angel I made at a workshop last weekend. Dorset button. How many things are wrong with it, I have lost count. Still, from a distance in a dim light... Shall make another, at least. They are fiddly rather than complicated.
I think the angel is lovely and a great addition to your Christmas decorating.
The cottage looks like it is fun to stitch (if that is the right word for working on plastic canvass?). Do you frame it like you would with any cross stitch project? Looking forward to more updates, please.

The Christmas House will eventually be 3-d: cut into it's pieces, and then stitched together. What I have so far is two side and one gable end plus parts of the base.
