Having spent the last 10 days cutting and chopping up fire wood I decided I deserved some time stitching :D I have just finished my ABCs...

Hopefully it will rain this afternoon so I won't have to do any more gardening  Time to think about were to go next on this piece.

Admissions time... I normally give you an update on a sunday of my weekly progress. But this week I was inundated with frogs :ribbit: I put the edge diamond pattern in thinking the patterns was 8 squares wide only to find when I got to join up at the bottom it should have been 7.

Let me get back where I was and I will provide evidence of some progress.

One of the wonderful things about this forum is that you are under no pressure to prove anything to us! When the :ribbit: :anotherfrog: become mischievous, there's not a lot you can do!

Lovely stitching  .

Thepicture threw me a bit at first - to my confused eyes it looked as though it's lying in a bubble bath!

Thank you Ladies.

Wendy I showed a picture of what this sampler should look like a couple of pages back: https://www.crossstitchforum.com/viewto ... 20#p718620 Its a TW piece so nothing is simple, like there is 12 speciality stitches used on this one, as if split coloured strands is not enough. The good news is there is no metallic threads but she makes up for that with more beads.

Sorry Mabel, that is my work guards: The grey layer is pipe lagging and the white "bubbly" layer is white protective foam (that came on my new chair legs) that is just the right diameter to go over the pipe lagging. The result is a soft padded layer that both protects my work and I can rest my wrists on if I want to. I find it is best to park my working needles in the foam at the top rather than the bottom
