Not sure if this comes into an actual "smile", but certainly a unique, and not unsmiling experience.
Backstory: the UK Government, in view of the rising energy bills is giving every household a £400 support payment over 6 months, October to March, to ease the burden. Unfortunately, as the politicians are aware, 1% (650,000) of the population will miss out, as those of us living in almshouses/caravan parks, boats, caravans - albeit having the same bills - do not , because our bills are combined into one payment to the supplier, all we get is 1 x £60 payment per month. Divided by 12 in my case. We here have camplained, written, emailed everyone possible for the last 2 months -our MP has raised this with ministers, but all we hear is, "urgently being looked at", but nothing happens.
But, the smile ,if there is one: this morning 4 of us were interviewed by BBC Regional TV, and should be on air tonight in glorious colour.
Fame at last, Hollywood, eat your heart out, I await your call.

Fingers crossed you get your money. It is also worth tackling your local council for the money but the MP should have mentioned this .

I heat my house using an "alternative fuel" i.e. not gas which the government has priced limited. So the government told us we are due to get £100 this year and in the budget yesterday another £100 for next year. When and how has not yet been mentioned or how they know who they owe the money to

Not really my thing, but amazing talent - I make guitars and ukuleles, and if my instruments are half as good as this
young lady's playing, I'll be happy. Definitely smiling.
