I know that horrible niggle `will I get it finished in time' but I have always got there as I am sure you will. It is a fabulous colourful design so hang in there. I'll sit on the imaginary seat and cheer you on, :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Thank you Ladies, I try to give you a weekly update on my progress, so here goes, since I scrolled up I have done a little more:

Image

I am about to finish off orange/brown coloured butterfly using that mixed stranded metallic and gold thread. Then I might do the flower :thinks: but the butterflies come alive if I do the backstitching :thinks: I'll think about it over dinner, it all needs doing in the end

Not my cuppa at all, but I like it to bits. maybe because the stitching is so neat and perfectly done. Something tells me that this WIP may turn into a finish on time. Happy stitching.

Thank you for following along. I only wish my camera would do a better job of showing off all the glinting of the gold metallic threads.

You would be more than welcome Nicola :D I normally sit with my stitching friends in my conservatory but in the winter the term "chill out" has the other meaning

That is what is so wonderful about doing cross stitching we may not like the subject matter but can appreciate what is going on.

I've been told the last part of my Christmas present is due to be delivered on Thursday and the clue is it is to go with my birthday present :thinks:

I've been feeling a little under the weather after my booster so I have been doing a bit more stitching (at least with stitching when you use the wrong colour you can unpick it again :anotherfrog: :anotherfrog: ). Progress was going well but then I realised I've been scrolling again without posting you any pics  So a quick one of the top:

Image

before I scroll down to do the backstitch on the bottom.

Hopefully this one will be finished this weekend then I am promising myself something really simple :D
