Trying to be patient but looking forward to seeing the finished piece. We’re going to need either a. Very long magic bench or several for all of us who will be watching.

I am glad the sofa is super comfortable as I cant finish the Huntibg tonight- the day is so gloomy that I have been stitching in the electric light all the time and can hardly see the light light violetish blue half stitches in one strand(in fact I see it as a shade. But the water colour effect is fantastic.

I did it! The photo will be here ASAP. Wont die of modesty, but I feel very proud. :whoop:  I was so much looking forward to the finish, that when the last stitch was done, I was somewhat surprised. I mean it felt unexpected. :D

There have been a few times, most recently the two baby samplers I did in the neutral colors, when I stitched the last stitch and looked at the piece and was in strange state of almost awe. It was I had expected to be stitching it forever. I can't wait for the photo of this one. Good thing the magic bench is so comfy!

In reality it looks much better. The colours are so true to life, everything looks 3D. All the space to the right of the duck is the sky- half stitches in 1 strand which in this resized photo can hardly be seen. Personally I like the result and would recommend the design to people with perfect eye sight and nerves of Sheffield steel.

it is impossible ever to capture the effect of embroidery in a photograph, but even the photograph looks amazing - a piece of work to be proud of with all its challenges!

That is such a wonderful piece, and your nerves of steel obviously held. You are right to be really proud to have finished it so beautifully. :applesauce: :applesauce:

WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous Lyudmila, it looks so good in the photo, Mabel is right though it is near impossible to capture what the eye sees in a photograph.

However it looks this good in a photo it must be fabulous in real life.

The recipient will be delighted with it I'm sure.

Congratulations on a fabulous finish.

I agree! It's an amazing piece of stitching.
It is frustrating when the photo doesn't do the creation in it's best light. :?

It is beautiful. And while the intricacies don’t show up in a picture, they are so worth it in real life.

And, thanks to the current Dr. Who, I actually get your reference to Sheffield steel.
