Roller skating

Impact.

I can ice skate, but never figured out how stop without an impact with a stationary object. Possibly it comes from doing lots of roller skating as a brat and almost no ice skating.

collision (which happened often when we ice skated on the makeshift frozen pond at our neighborhood park when I was a child. Boys playing ice hockey and girls figure skating. All at the same time. Chaos and collisions occurring often)

crack the whip (on our local pond, no hockey allowed and crack the whip was... discouraged but never banned; we also had a warming hut with a fireplace and places to store your boots. How fab was that? 1960s, sigh)
