And did you :-) ?

Both are very attractive projects, but very different - nice to try such a variety!

You’re so kind
I did enjoy the embroidery style, but in this project I found them a bit too long to handle. I love the texture and colours that are created, so it’s definitely something I would explore more.

Both are very pretty! While, I mostly do cross stitch, I do enjoy the occasional embroidery or project with special stitches. The variety is fun and provides a different kind of challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you focus on.

Your Yellow Rose is gorgeous and the seascape one most unusual. Well done with both of them. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Thank you everyone
I’ve started the Great wave! My little sister has already laid claim to it as soon as I bought it lol
I think will also start the Koi fish one soon because it’s so pretty. Bought a back issue of a magazine just to get the pattern

The koi carp do make a beautiful design, so I can see why you bought the magazine explicitly for it.

Two very beautiful projects and two very different projects, both beautifully stitched.

I can also see why the Koi are calling you, it's a lovely design.

Oh, and welcome to the forum by the way.

Hi Garnet, thank you so much :D
Omg they are calling to me aren’t they. When I bought all the thread, it was such a beautiful bunch of colours with the turquoise and the oranges, it’s going to be so pretty.

On Saturday, started the Great wave

And today’s progression

Grey, grey and more grey! And still a lot of more grey to go lol

A good start on your latest project and it is always good to tell yourself occasionally that every stitch you put in place is one less to do. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Yes indeed squirrel, I will need to maintain this thought lol

In the mean time I’ve done this card for someone. I felt like I needed something to complete quickly. So I totally understand now why some people have multiple projects on the go!

Oh that's lovely! It's a really sweet Thank You card.

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

If you feel the need to have some small finishes in-between your larger projects, you could stitch a small stash of pieces like this so they are ready to go as you need them :D

These are all lovely! And your needleminder is gorgeous! Those sparkles must make up for some of the grey stitching :)

I love the style of the thank you card - where is it from?
