mags - stitchy stuff 2020

Post by mags »

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been posting much, if at all, I do pop in regularly to see what everyone is up to. I will try and be a bit more active. Here are my two finishes so far this year.

 :tizzy: :whoop: :whoop: Mags is back - hurray :whoop: Great too see you posting again Mags and I love both your finishes.
The lovely spring flowers are a treat to someone who seldom sees such things in the winterless north of the subtropics.
The Blackwork one is totally awesome and oh so intricate.
Thanks for sharing them with us.

I went online after seeing Mag's post and there was the book in The Book Depository. A good price and the postal charge is included so a better deal than Amazon. :whoop:

:applesauce: :applesauce: What beautiful finishes. Almost as lovely as seeing you again! I love the Blackwork piece. I have so many patterns because I love the designs, but have yet to do any. Thank you for posting yours. I hope it will motivate me to get started!

Thanks everyone

Wendy - it is a lovely book - I have it too. Planning my next project. I have bought the "Play Around" pack from Rowandean to have a go at one or two small things. I love the cotton fabric she supplies - I was worried about whether I would be able to use it (hand issues!) but it is not a problem for me. I had wanted to do Mabel's tree SAL but hadn't got any fabric that I could easily use, so I might buy some more fabric in the future and have a go at that. :D

The daffs and crocus project - I was thinking of using it in a card but I don't want to give it away

Mags, if you do intend to do the SAL at any point in the future can I suggest you sign up before it ends even if you don't stitch it for several years? Sorry, I don't mean this to sound like a plug, but I happen to know what will happen after the end of May :-) which is that like previous SALs it will be on the website as a stand-alone item at a higher (and frankly more realistic) price than the SAL, with access to the blog as an optional extra.

Thanks for the thought Mabel but I have so much stuff on the go, stitchy and otherwise, and I am happy to pay the going price when I get around to it. :D
