Sorry for being MIA.
In a "nut shell", 2018 had lots of medical problems with family, me included, not enough sewing, :tantrum: and had to go out of state for a couple of family, his side, funerals.
2019 , 31 days old, is looking "better" in all the areas in 2018.
Squirrel, "absolutely" lovely work :whoop: :applesauce: and you "have to" call your squirrel's, "baby girls, baby boys", as we have 7 in our back yard and that's what we call them and they "do" know when you are talking to them.
Please send your "heat wave" to the USA, as we have been under a "Artic blast" without snow, for 2 weeks. In W. Tn. on the Arkansas border, we "never ever" had it this bad. It was 3 degrees at 4 am this morning. Schools have been closed for going on 2 weeks. Grocery stores can't even keep their shelves full, :tantrum: "when" you can "tolerate" the cold enough to go out.
GBU and yours.

I've already told Squirrel how much I love her squirrel and I am even more glad to say that, since it prompted you to let us know you are back!
I know Sally won't mind my using her thread to tell you welcome back  and hope that 2019 is a much better year for you and that we will get to see you more often!

Carole - you are more than welcome to make use of my thread and I agree totally. Jeanie, I do hope that 2019 is heaps and heaps better than your horrible year last year. I have alerted Debby to your post as I know she has done some of the State Emblems. :)

Oh Sally, Mr Squirrel is perfect, and perfectly stitched too :applesauce: :applesauce:

I'm so glad you had a decent couple of hours of stitching time, I always feel like I've achieved something when I have managed a couple of hours, so I know how you feel

This is such a lovely design.

I think I finished Mr Squirrel #2 about 30 min ago but not sure as some of the utensils on the table are using the same colours as the Squirrels.
which is a bit crazy. Still not sure if he has more lower body to come or if it is the start of the dining table. :)

Thanks for looking.

Merejka's squirrells are the most squirrell squirrells, arent they? You have done a great job on them, Sally. Happy stitching.

Thank you all for your kind remarks - it is encouraging now that I am into the confetti that is the remainder of the design.

I had planned to be out in the cool on the balcony but outside is parked a huge truck and it is clearing out the stormwater drain by suction. The noise is all encompassing although it is good to know (I think) the Council is making sure that should we get torrential rains our drains will cope better for being cleaned out beforehand.
