First is one that Debby was so kind to send me the chart of, Dimensions Penguin--I used Victorian Motto threads to substitute and left off the lettering in the scarf--stitched it up on a hand dyed 18 count aida with silver accents--love how it turned out!!
I am now stitching Lanarte Owl from a kit--subbed out the 27 ct white evenweave for a 32 count hand dyed linen I had in my stash
Here is what the finished design will look like
And here is my progress after a little over a week stitching

I took a couple of weeks off of stitching on the owl, due to wanting to crochet up a small afghan so I could use up some of my numerous odds and ends of skeins of yarn--glad I did--while it isn't the most elegant design I am happy and it will be nice to have on hand. First, here is the update on the owl, not a lot of progress but some
and here is what my afghan looks like--well half anyway--as I couldn't get a good photo showing it's entirety--measures about 36 by 48 inches

The owl is so gorgeous, really lifelike. Well done on doing some more of it
The blanket is colourful & a good way to use up odds & ends.

I agree completely! If you want more leftover yarn I have plenty (guess its still good) from my long ago crocheting days.
