And nows here is one more framed piece back in my custody. It was framed by Hobby Lobby and I'm quite pleased. (It looks like there are wrinkles in it, but that's not the case...just reflections.) They used a black mount board for it instead of white. We looked at it on white and the orange became almost fluorescent. ha!

That's fabulous!

I see what you mean about the orange becoming fluorescent against white, the inner rim of the mount has a tiny bit of white and it balances, any wider and my eyes would be begging for sunglasses

Love it

The dogs must have been a lot of fun. :)
I really love the Colorado and the California Samplers. Your latest framed work makes me smile everytime I see it, brilliant! :)

A lovely finish - good work by Hobby Lobby framing it so neatly, and taking time to think of the best options!

Joy is done. I had to wait for The Victoria Sampler to send me more of the green and white, which they did quickly. I have a few (several?) more of their kits - so much fun to do. And fast.

And I've started this one for a friend's daughter. It came with an ivory linen, which I didn't like, so I'm doing it instead on a beautiful deep green Cashel by PTP.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely start on a great design! and on great fabric too! I think this is going to be a perfect gift. Is it a graduation present? Would be so perfect for that or for encouraging the success of any new adventure.

It's not a grad present, but she is currently in Boston working on her PhD in psychology and I thought of her immediately when I saw the design. It will be her Christmas present. The cape and tiara one I finished is for the other daughter. And I have another design in the series that will be for the parents. It'll be a themed Christmas. :-)

I love your Joy Heart Sampler. I can imagine that it was an enjoyable project to stitch.

You made a great start on your new project, Debbie. They are special presents :)

Love 'Joy" it is gorgeous. Your new start is really special and isn't it great to get a good start on the Christmas stitching. The fabric is just right for it. Looking forward to more updates'.

They are both Mill Hill kits, and the series is called Curly Girl. They're a lot of fun to stitch.

This came in the mail yesterday and I have no willpower - I had to start it.

This is what I got done last night. It's stitched with Sulky - my first time using it but boy, do I like it!!!

Ooohh, you've made a lovely start, :applesauce: lovely shades of blue, I take it sulky is variegated?

Btw, thanks for the info about the charts, I can't find a UK supplier of Glendon Place, sewandso no longer have Glendon Place in their charts or kits pages :(

I shall just have to drool over yours :D

Sewandso has the Mill Hill kits if you were interested in those. I've purchased Glendon Place charts on 123stitch, from a store in California, and from Glendon Place directly. Were you looking for a particular design or just wanted to be able to browse?

As for the Sulky - yes, the blue is what they call blended. This design uses blended and solid Sulky.
