I think that all our stitching is affected by the heat, Roland. Not many progress photos on the forum altogether. Winter will come soon enough, let's enjoy the children and ice creams! :D

Here’s my penguin. Beads and outline will be done last. But you can see some of the sparkly gold.

Here he is, just missing the beads. Looking so cute and innocent....as if he hasn’t driven me totally bonkers.

I was adding beads and my thumb split open, so he’s away for the night.

This stocking should be delivered before Christmas. The other one, maybe not. Only about half-way done, and it has to go through the mail. Canada Post is doing rotating strikes so that will slow it even more.

Thanks. It isn’t anything serious. Between constantly washing dishes, doing laundry, and out in the cold, my hands are dry. And occasionally a finger or thumb will crack. But I do not want blood staining an almost finished piece.

:applesauce: :applesauce: The stocking looks really good and I'm glad that your thumb isn't seriously injured. How many beads do you have to still sew in? This is one of those designs that makes me smile when I see it. Lucy is bound to love it!!

An absolutely great stocking! :applesauce:

As for the thumb, the problem may be a result not of washing up, but of cold weather. You should see my left thumb this very minute. All becasue I dont put on my gloves when the temperatures are above minus 10. Creams with vitamin A help.

To many beads to count. About 3 on each letter, all through the white fur of hat, and a few balls have about a dozen. When I get going, it goes fast though.

As for the thumb, I get this in the summer too.

Ouch those injuries on thumbs can be so sore and such a darned nuisance too. Hope it heals up quickly for you.

I do so love the gorgeous Stocking you have done he is such a cutie. Well Done on getting all the stitching finished and as you say the beading does go quickly. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

What a great stocking this will be. :applesauce: :applesauce: As for the thumb... I always wear gloves doing any work, whether washing up or gardening. Occasionally remember to use hand cream, too.
