It’s the perfect stocking for little Miss Paizlee. She was in the NICU for about 6 months when she was born. They usually encourage the parents to give the baby a super-hero name....and hers was MightyMouse.

No doubt in my mind that the "mouse" stocking will be absolutely perfect for a "mighty mouse" of a little girl. What a long time to be in the NICU. Sounds like she is a real fighter and her superhero name must fit her well.

She was born about half way through a normal pregnancy and only weighed about a pound. Her mom started a blog, as if written by the baby.

She’s home now, but they still don’t know if there will be permanent health issues. She still cannot cry because of damage to her vocal cords from the heart surgery she had, but they think that will self resolve. She’s definitely a fighter.

While we were waiting I was searching for some long lost pictures. I found them. And I also found this.

I started this quilt for my first grandson. But I was still working on the egg when he was born. I did the letters in order. I managed to finish it when his brother was born, about 4 years later.

It became his blankie. He carried it everywhere and would not sleep without it.

What a beautiful blanket, no wonder it's become a treasured blankie.

It's so colourful and as always so beautifully stitched.

Well Done.

This is the stocking I have been putting my time into. I’m leaving all the outline TIL the end, like I usually do.
