Yeah, 10 years! I know I have been really MIA lately, life and work and health and all kinds of other stuff keep me busy elsewhere, but I do pop in once in a while.
Today I want to say THANK YOU to everyone on crossstitchforum.com. Ten years ago I was living a desperate life. I started doing cross stitch to escape and I found this forum. And here I found lots of advice, inspiration, and really good friends who helped me get through that difficult period of my life.

Then I widened my interest in other textile arts - I still remember, it was a bingo game I was running, and looked up all kinds of textile art forms for it. It was amazing how much stuff I found... as if a door was opened... Anyway, ten years later I live in a new country, have got a textile teacher degree and teaching textiles in a school. And started making textile art, kind of a combination of quilting and embroidery. Without you, I couldn't have done it.

Aww, thanks everyone! I'm really glad I found this community and decided to stop lurking. It's really nice to see how helpful and encouraging everyone is to one another here, whether it's about cross stitching or life in general. I'm hoping to be more active again soon, but I do check in, even if I don't have a chance to post.
