That's lovely Sally. Not done many holly leaves myself & last ones I did were several years ago, so can't comment on that. Look forward to seeing Brooklyn's stocking grow :applesauce:

It does look like holly to me, Sally! :D Not with sharp points but definitively recognizable!
What great progress! The name will make the stocking very special. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great update!!! Can't give you an answer about the leaves. Maybe it's hard to design ones that are more accurate when they are small???

The border piece is now finished and I started on the moon bit but am having problems reading the chart due to these - - - - cataracts plus I find the pale green symbols almost impossible to read even with a magnifier. It is annoying but there is not a lot I can do about it.

Sooooo it has gone away and I have started some small card motifs, mostly magazine kits where the symbols are nice and clear.

Good plan, Sally! :D Especially, with Christmas not so far away now and birthdays, it will be stitching time well spent.

Thanks Lyudmilla, I feel a bit mean setting it aside but it is what it is at this point in time. I have ordered 3 small items of Christmas stitching so hopefully that will be here soon.

You've made a wonderful start on the stocking! I love that pattern--if I had seen this before I started stitching mine, I would have stitched it instead. All the animals in it make me smile.

And I completely understand about the green symbols in the dimensions kits--it's a hard color to read. On top of that they often seem to cluster different symbols of the same color all in the same area. Why do they do that??

Here is the latest finish, the small rose will be a card for my DD for her birthday in a couple of weeks. I need to get a pretty mount for it yet.

That's lovely, such a lot of detail in a relatively small design!

Gorgeous rose! So much work in that teeny one, and lovely colours.
