Sally, what an intrigue! I think by now you have already chosen the thread- the one in the middle.

I dont stitch on fancy Aidas, but this particular piece looks really perfect for this design. Happy stitching and looking forward to your updates.

Having looked at the colours in my DMC thread shade book, I think 550 would be perfect for this fabric, I would go for the purple rather than a blue-y shade on this fabric, I think you already have a soft spot for 550 :)

Mr. Skewwhiff is fabulous too, I adore him, he is cute and quirky and just right.

Mr. Skewwhiff is just adorable. You stitched him to perfection :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

What a thoughtful and generous gift from Tiffany! The fabric is absolutely gorgeous. I am debating between 550 and the Gold/Brown...
Each thread would give a different atmosphere to the picture. I wonder what you will choose... :thinks:

9 pages of chart for this design! It will need some organizing.

Lovely New Project, Sally! :D

Here is a card just finished days later than I wanted it to be done but that is life at present. My get up and go, got up and went somewhere - I blame the very cool to cold weather we are having in short bursts. Totally crazy.

Anyway here is another of Lucie Heaton's little mice as a special birthday card for a long time friend back home. I will also include a picture of the beanies I am spending a lot of time knitting. Quick and easy as they are for prems and are much needed by all the hospitals. My church sent of over 400 items this last Thursday to another hospital to help their supplies of beanies, wraps bootees etc.

This card is absolutely elegant. One can see at once that the hats were stitched not only masterfully, but with love and best wishes. Very well done, Sally.

Exactly my thought! I love the little mouse blowing bubbles in her red dress and the finishing touch, with the gold, is perfect :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
5 more beanies! How wonderful for the little preemies receiving them. :whoop:

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Great finish! Adorable card! and beautiful silhouette and fabric! Have you chosen your thread? I'd go with 550 also, though any of the choices will be perfectly beautiful on that fabric.

Beautiful finishes Sally.

The little mouse is so very cute and well done on the preemie hats, so very necessary and not something that obviously springs to mind. I will be finding some patterns myself and knitting some for our prem unit.

Thank you all for your kind words - they are appreciated.

South East Australia is in the grip of an Antarctic cold air mass the past few days and no sign of it ending until around Friday, so its mainly me snuggled in my arm chair knitting beanies. Normally here I Brisbane our mornings are around 12-15 c and days low to mid twenties. Lately it has been as cold as +5c and days up to 19c and we are freezing. Sadly there is also a cold southerly wind blowing most days so sitting on the balcony in the sun is out of the question.

I am utilising the time to get some dressmaking done plus knitting. Keeps me out of mischief. :)

Phew, I finally managed to get the moon area done which then will give me an easier way to begin Father Christmas - says she hopefully. At least that is the thought behind doing that stupid moon in the first place.

An awesome day yesterday sitting in the sun on the balcony stitching like crazy and it all came together - after I resorted the gridding. At some stage it got damp and the gridding sort of expanded so I didn't know exactly where I was. So here is the result of 2 days really good stitching.

This is a couple of skirts I made last weekend, we used to call this type of skirt a gypsy skirt, very plain full skirted and long to keep one warm in the cold. Yes it does get cold up here in the sub tropics sometimes and this is the year it is happening.

Well done Sally, the stocking is coming along nicely, I'm sorry the moon gave you so much trouble, it looks so effective now.

Wow those skirts look lovely too, you are certainly a very talented lady.
