Thoughts and prayers  to all those effected by tonight's event at the Manchester arena. Just saw video on tv and I'm horrified by what I've seen. Regardless of the cause, this is a tragedy for the victims and their families. I hope all forum members and families are safe.

I haven't had the news on at all today - just read about it after seeing your post. Prayers for all the victims and first responders.

Oh not again. I am so sorry to read about it and will go turn on the tv.

Oh dear God what a horror it must have been, seems our local tv station is staying in direct link with a UK 'feed' and updating as required.
The bit I heard was our Foreign Minister saying that as far as is known no Aussies were among the killed.

Sending love prayers and hugs to everyone involved from the victims and families & friends to first responders, law enforcement and hospital personal all over that area of the UK. I will send hasty emails to a few folk I know

They are currently reporting here that 22 dead, 59 seriously wounded spread around 8 hospitals in Greater Manchester.

My daughter and her husband were at a comedy show in Manchester last night. They live in Greater Manchester.
Their show was in a different area but she is still shaken up. She text me at midnight last night, saying that they were safe.

How scary for them Helene. So glad they weren't in that particular venue and good on them for texting you.

Canadians are uniting in prayer for the UK as well. Our hearts go out to all as they continue to process and grieve.

This: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p053s1sw" target="_blank I am much taken with the idea of "defiant kindness". (Oh, and a "pillar box" is one of the British iconic round red mailboxes, for those of you outside the UK.)
