These stockings are all so beautiful! That is so wonderful that you are doing these for all the new family members.

I've made felt stockings in the past, but I've been thinking of making some cross stitched stockings, too. Who doesn't need two stockings, right?

Wow! :stars: Those are all beautiful. Your family is certainly lucky. Let us all know about the proposal when it finally happens.

More beautiful stitching from your very busy needles. I love the stockings you have done in the past and the new Charles Ross stockings too - must look more into these designs as they are designs I would love to do myself as if I need any more stash..

The sampler for your daughter's new home is lovely and colourful too.

No kidding! LOL

Now you've got me thinking about stockings for my new crew (bf and his boys). So far I haven't found anything I like, and I don't have a sewing machine anymore so no idea how I'd get them put together.

I am VERY MUCH interested in the pattern for Christmas on the pond. I have been looking for it for several years. I have completed 6 of Charles Ross's other stockings and really want to do this one. Can you help me?

I deleted the other two posts of yours in this thread, since they were pretty much the same as this one. I know that Cindy W. Is a current member but sometimes doesn't visit on a daily basis so it could be a few days until she sees this. Thank you for understanding. :)

She has cleverly sent me a PM, for which I got an email notification, so we have been in touch! :D

Meanwhile, the last stocking has been stitched and the proposal has happened. Now we're planning a wedding for September 2018. I've also been diagnosed with breast cancer, so that has slowed me down a LOT. It takes me a full week to get over my chemo treatment, then out come the crochet hooks, needles, and sewing machine. I'll post a photo of the last stocking shortly.

I don't know how I missed this one, but want you to know my prayers and thoughts are also with you. Sounds like you are managing all of it with a great attitude. Remember St. Cross Stitcher's is always available when you need some extra TLC!

Okay, I got all that stitched in the spring and finally finished finishing them last night. The good news is I had my partial mastectomy two weeks ago and the biopsies of the breast tissue and lymph nodes show the chemo destroyed all of the cancer! I'll continue with preventative meds for five years, but it's a good thing when the oncologist doesn't need to see you for six months!

Here are photos of the finished stockings:

My future son-in-law randomly announced he hated garden gnomes, so they've been showing up where he least expects them...including his Christmas stocking! ;)

Thanks, Debby! Yes, the health news was the best Christmas gift ever! I'm still trying to regain strength, but I know that will take time. Meanwhile, we're looking forward to a wonderful Christmas and an even better new year!
