Redfoot's WIPs! - Update 3/01

Hello new stitchy friends! Are you ready for a peek inside my works-in-progress basket? There are four of them (yikes) but only two that I'm working on in rotation.

Vanellope
Start date: I dunno, like 2013 some time?

First up is the oldest, which has been hibernating for a couple years. I did the design myself, it's Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-It Ralph. I'm going to do some pixel art from the movie in the background. It's actually on a tote bag made of Aida, I'm going to do something from Lilo and Stitch on the other side.

Tea Time (Time Pieces)
Start date: Jan 16, 2017

Then is my tea time clock! My father-in-law picked this kit out as a present for my wife, but she passed it on to me to finish. There's five teacups, a teapot, and a tray of sweets, I'm doing them one at a time before finishing the border. I also moved the title so that the clock was more centred.

Happily Ever After (Frosted Pumpkin)
Start date: Jan 21, 2017

I am completely in love with this project. It's the Frosted Pumpkin Mystery SAL for this year, my wife bought me the pattern for Christmas. I am so excited to finally do one of their MSALs, I've been watching them for a couple years now. February's block has been released, but I'm working on finishing up the border before I do it.

Comforted With Love (Precious Moments)
Start date: Feb 4, 2017

I was having a really terrible day at work yesterday - just one of those constant grinding days that wear you down. So my treat to myself was starting a new project, this adorable Precious Moments one from the 'Welcome Home Baby' booklet. I find a lot of the PM stuff overly preachy but this one is cute.

I  them all and it's hard to pick a favourite but I think the tea time one would be it. I enjoy tea parties but alas they are seldom seen around now.

I like all of your pieces. I, too, find starting a new project often helps when I've had a stressful day. I especially like your Vanellope piece. I really enjoyed "Wreck-It Ralph". It was different from a lot of the princess movies. I felt it didn't get the recognition it deserved.

I am looking forward to more updates! :D

All very cool! I like Frosted Pumpkin stuff. I've only recently bought one of their previous stitching charts. Looking forward to seeing all these grow :applesauce:

February's block of the Happily Ever After sampler is done! The white is not showing up well on my fabric, so I did a bit of backstitching on the mountains and the goat. Back to working on the framing.

Another update - put away the Frosted Pumpkin to work on this adorable Precious Moments. I made a couple of major counting mistakes, but I'm just going to backstitch them away and pretend they never happened. I'm so happy with the way it's turning out. I just have to finish the blue of the blanket and then backstitching.
