Just finished this daisy coaster which will be part of a birthday present for a friend. Now away to start another one!
I'm finding it difficult to cut the aida for the round coasters (I think I managed to pull it off) anyone got any tips for a neater finish?

That coaster looks great! Can't wait to see the others you do. I can't help with your cutting question since I don't use aida and the coasters I've made were squares. Someone will have an idea to help you, I'm sure.

The coaster is very pretty Nicola & I look forward to seeing the others you make. I use Aida & when I made key rings last year I had probs with the shapes too. Hopefully I can glean a few tips when more answers are posted from more experienced x-stitchers.
I love the Butterfly Mauverne, very pretty & unusual design

Coaster is very pretty. Finish looks great. The only thing I can think of is that if you have a sewing machine, stitch just inside the cutting line, that may hold the threads together to avoid the spaces. You could use white thread or a different colour to match to the colours used in the stitching.

Lovely coaster. I use iron-on interfacing, hides the back a bit and makes it easier to cut neatly with no fraying.

Thanks Linda and Mags! Unfortunately I don't have a sewing machine what I did was trace round the inside of the coaster then I cut a piece of card and then put that inside to hide the back. I tried cutting the design on the fabric into a circle to fit inside and trimmed as I went along but need to think of a better idea especially as I have OCD and like the design to be in the exact centre. Thanks for the tips xxx

Linda - I love your Butterfly with all those lovely colours in them, nice and bright.
Nicola, how fresh and elegant that coaster is, it looks really marvellous.
Agi - Sadly all I have on my screen is a large black blob with a minus sign on it - drat it.
