Holding pattern on frame

I thought about asking a music teacher friend to get a clip on sheet music holder for me. None of the clips I have will hold the booklet to the frame. Frame+pattern is too wide for the clips I have.

Suggestions?

What kind of frame are you using?

I use magnets to hold my chart. My designs are large enough that I have plenty of room to see my work and still have room to place the chart on the work area with a small, round magnet on front and back.

I have one of these: http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/purelite-4- ... 91522-1000" target="_blank

it has a strong clip to hold the chart and I rest the end of my chart on a cushion by my side as I like to have one of those metal chart holders with magnetic strips to secure the chart...and my position on the chart for stitching ( I don't mark my charts)

I must admit I've always wanted one of those music stands!

I have a wooden roller frame. I think a hair clip will work if I can find one laying around my house. I usually x-stitch on the couch, so it needs to be where I can see it. I like it to be right beside what I'm working on to prevent neck and eye strain.

That's how I do it too. In fact I always have some magnets on my fabric (front and back of course) and I use them for almost everything that will cling to it. I have magnets in just about every box or bag that I use for cross stitch.
For smaller works I use the Purelite that Wendy mentions.
And sitting outside I have the table at arm height, very convenient. 8)
