Overlook Cafe - Finished

Here is 4 nights work on this. Lots of half stitches already with different number of threads to add depth. 2, 3 & 4 have been used & some combined as well.

I am hoping to post an update next Weds but it will be a couple of weeks after that before I can put further one up.

I've seen this one at the store. It's a really beautiful design. You've made a great start on it. I can't wait to see more updates.

Good start on a lovely design. It will be interesting to see how the different number of thread strands and full and half stitches effect the overall texture of the piece. I am going to love watching this one develop!

Great start! Even with the varying stitches and floss strands, it looks like it's going to be a fun stitch. So pretty - I would love to be strolling down the sidewalk there.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Last night & after I'd decided to stop working on it & took a look from a distance I can see it gradually taking shape. Completed villa where the black lamp on the r. hand side of the cafe is. Did the roof last night & some background. Had 3 and 4 strands again last night, some half cross stitch & others full x stitch, also some blends with 2 & 3 threads.

I knew this picture would take a long while as it is very detailed but will take longer than I thought with using several thicknesses of threads & sorting out blended threads. It does not matter as I am not in a hurry. This is for us so no deadline.

Am stitching cafe building now. The turquoise block is the cafe sign & above it is balcony with flowers.

Edit: Of course it would have helped earlier if I had changed main title as well

Yes me too!! It's much prettier than the cover picture on the kit. The colours are softer.
