This one will be finished in no time. As a Disney lover, I really like this piece. I can't wait to see it finished.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I've not done a Disney design before but am enjoying it. This is being made for a couple who had their first baby last November. Named him Edward but known as Ted or Teddy. They used to live next door to us but moved the other side of town a couple of years ago. Could not think what to give them for the baby as I know the great grandmother has a knitting machine & knits loads. I thought I would just wait until I saw something I thought would be nice & saw this.

Last Saturday DH & I went out on the spur of the moment & we saw the baby for the first time - he was with his auntie & cousins in the shop. He was really gorgeous, full of smiles for everyone. So cute. Also a special baby as about 7 years ago the father was in car crash & is very lucky to be alive. His 19 year old girlfriend died instantly & he had over 2 years of surgery to correct injuries. Not his fault as the other driver was speeding & high on drugs & alcohol!! This driver went round a roundabout on the wrong side & hit the couple's car head on rolling it over & into a ditch! Since then new girlfriend, they bought a house, got married & now have this delightful baby. Lovely to have such a good outcome after all the trauma he & his family had. :D :D

I have got my new glasses today so hope to sew even quicker now

This is so sweet, and I love the happy ending to the father's story (wife and new baby). I know they'll love this!

Darling! Thanks for the background on the family. I know you want a very special gift for the little guy, and you've chosen well.

Thank you for your comments. I do not usually post an update so soon but thought I would put up one on how Flower is progressing. Didn't think I had done much but on looking at previous one have done more than I thought.

I held this up & a bit away from myself last night to see how it looked further away & had to laugh at myself - realised I was sitting there grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat at this tiny cartoon animal @rotfl: I must act my age & not my shoe size  But, I do love this little skunk.

Thank you for looking & have a good day :D

Edit. Just noticed pic did not come up - having probs with Photobucket & I forgot to use Preview

It makes me smile, too, and I think acting one's shoe size is often entirely appropriate! :-)

Thanks, too, for sharing the story about your friends - their little bundle of joy is a blessing in so many ways. Looking forward to more of Bambi and Flower.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I am glad you did not mind me telling you about the family. I feel I must go over the top sometimes as DH says I say too much. There is a lot of sadness in the world I thought it would be good to post something with a happy ending. Had a night off last night but will stitch more of Flower this evening. :D Thanks for looking.
