Very lovely! :applesauce:

One question, though, and I'm sure it's just a color variation from lighting or monitor rendering. Is the color behind the bird, like from his feet and back under his belly, the right color? In the model it looks green like the foliage. In the project, it looks blue like the berries.

Thank you for your kind comments. Allyn, the colours are paler in my photo than when you actually look at it. The few green stitches done are part of leaves. A deeper green than on project photo. Cannot call it sage green but very near that, it is an unusual shade. :D

Okay. I know the colors can come out looking different in the picture. I thought that might be the case, but wanted to bring it to your attention in case there was an error in the chart that needed to be addressed before you got too far along. :) He's a lovely little fellow. :)

That's O K Allyn as if I had put wrong colour in by mistake I would have been very glad of your observation :D I am pleased the way the bird has come out once stitched The designer has a good eye for detail :D

The blackberry & foliage above birds head are unusual colours too, did a bit last night. You will see what I mean in next week's update. :D

Whenever we go in the lower part of our garden we are serenaded by the warning 'Pip, Pip' of a Wren. They are so tiny it's quite hard to see them. Lovely little things, and that picture is looking exactly like them. Trouble is, if it's life size, it'll be tiny.

Regards,

Richard.

They like to hide don't they Richard? We've only just started letting our rescue cat, Millie, out & the other morning I heard a chirring noise & looked over to the far wall of neighbours garden. Right on very top of bare branch was a tiny wren. It was annoyed I'd let the cat out & sat there chirring at us for several minutes. I make sure it is light so Millie doesn't get any birds in morning half light & make sure she is in for the night before dusk. I often hear the chirring out the front too from bushes another neighbour has. I think that is where they nest as the bush is quite dense.

Size of stitching from tip of beak to tail, aligning down from tail tip, is 9.20 cm. Top of head to bottom of belly is 5 cm. :D

What a lovely wren! Lovely stitching as well.

It always amazes me how different colours can be when you take a photo. I have a bit of purple tie dye effect fabric for grime covers and I just cannot get it to look the right colour on my listing. Very frustrating. And our scanner has stopped working so I can't do it like that.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this design, especially the blackberries, they look awesome.

Thank you fccs & Fizzbw. Finished some of the blackberries & last night did a bit more to lower leaves. The green still looks like blue pine on photo but it is a proper green in real life, well 2 similar dark green shades & a lighter one but on photo you cannot clearly see difference. Project tilted slightly right so you get better idea of colours. Full on pic was not so good. The top blackberry & lower mauve one each have 5 colours.

That is looking really gorgeous now and I love the berries, such an interesting set of colours there and the leaves look ready to add glamour to the whole piece. A lovely update. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
