Goodness, a lot of things to be made with those threads. Really love the snowman. Excellent workings you have on here.

Look forward to seeing more of the sheep especially as I am moving to Wales where there are loads of them. An extra one always welcome :)
I expect we'll see lots of cute lambs once we've settled & can explore the area. Have brollies & wellies at the ready as we know it rains a lot in Wales (hence the 'green, green grass' & lots of wild flowers) as have had lovely caravan holidays there.

Latest progress on Trina's Sheep - I'd hoped to finish his fourth leg as well at my stitching group, but then I needed to unpick a few stitches and I didn't get it done. Still, it's getting there!

Oooohh, another Mabelpiece.

It's really coming along well.

No need to feel sheepish at not finishing his fourth leg  Sorry I couldn't resist.

 him actually, and I've seen lots of new lambs in the last few days.

Can't wait to see your next update

I'm amazed just how much 'background' stitching goes into this technique.

Brilliant!! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Not stitching, but putting kits together - by lamp light (with cat) last night, but later today it'll be with a view of the newly emerged tulips in the garden!

Of course!! What else would you have in your garden but TULIPS!!

I have them in my garden too. I planted a whole sack of Daffodils some years back. First year half came up... 2nd year 6 as the wild pigs rooted around in the garden and ate loads of things!

Well, I have to say, your helper has fallen asleep on the job or is he worn out from all the supervising :D

Is that the side clamp of a Lowery I spy on one side of your work-spot?

Your Tulips are lovely, everything seems so late this year with the cold weather lasting so long.

Last year I planted Snowdrops and Bluebells in two pots outside my back door and the Snowdrops didn't flower til February and today I have seen the first of the cluster of Bluebell heads on the their stalks. The warmer weather of the yesterday and today has suddenly brought life back into the garden.

Lexi was worn out with chasing the empty bobbins I threw on the floor as I'd finished with them :-) - and yes, that is a Lowery. I don't use it a lot, but it's nice to have it there when I want it!

Re: Mabel's designs

Not much stitching time since last Monday as I've been getting kits etc ready for last Saturday's workshop. Fortunately it went very well and everyone seemed to enjoy it!

Today I took Trina's Sheep to stitching group to pick up where I'd left off; the offending last stitch was removed and redone, and I've finished his legs and his ears, cut a template with which to transfer his face right at the end, and started on his fleece. It uses bright check and wire check to give even more texture.

Of course Lexi couldn't bear being left out when I took progress pics...

Ooooohhh, Trina's sheep is coming along beautifully.

All the different textures are so appealing and it's so interesting. :D

Lexi is such a fine cat, she (?) look so proud of all your hard work. Please give her an ear-rub from me.

The texture on the 'fleece' is amazing! No wonder Lexi has to 'stand' (ie lie) guard over it! It looks so precious!

BTW hasn't she grown into a Fine Cat!

She has indeed! Perhaps with her new-found sheep guarding skills I can enter One Man and His Dog, er, One Woman and Her Cat :-)
