Not even a whole day into the new year and you're already goading us on???

Mebbe a trip to a lns this weekend with the master enabler is going to be very bad for my wallet!!

It doesn't look awfully exciting but here are my acquisitions of today:

The brown felt will be a backing for Orpheus, the square of cream felt is just to experiment with; the green fabric on the right is silk dupion (although I think it's artificial rather than real silk) to do goldwork on, with calico to back it. The grey thread is for attaching silver threads.

So I devised a plan today for going to hobbycraft for the 2 colours I needed to finish a wip. I left my bank card in the house and only took Â£10 and whatever loose smash was in my purse? What damage can you do with Â£10 anyway right???

I have acquired some new needles, the 2 colours (

90p a skein may I add) and a kit for a new baby. Forgot my cousin was due this month. That's my rotation out the window and I'm only 5 days in

just a small dimensions - train birth record.

Spent Â£14, its amazing what all the smash adds up to in your purse, poor lady who had to count it to check

Found a beautiful kit in Sew and So's sale last week and kept going back to look at it. As I was at my parents I left it up on the computer and it worked as they both loved it too so it is safely purchased and hidden away for my birthday in march!!

Oh boy. I saw my daughter carrying this box upstairs and I thought "Phil's (SIL) bought more gadgets. I turned to go to my sittingroom and she just held it out. It's ALL MINE and from the LOVELY TIFFANY (tiffstitch)

Found the ridges and used the pointy scissors to tear through the wrapping - and WOW how well wrapped it was too. Inside

AND here it all is.,

Chocolate and more chocolate. a box of SMORES, another box of dark choc covered cranberries and 3 bars of varying sorts. Phil and I are going to enjoy it all. I am sure. Lovely fabric 28ct Monaco (which looks fabulous and I want to try it out now) a small chart by Waxing Moon designs the October sampler; Tiffany's beautifully stitched ornament, love it and a gorgeous hand stitched card with a beautiful message inside.
