Hi, everybody. . My name is Iryna. I am 22 years old. I am from Ukraine and currently live in Toronto. English is not my first language, so if I will have any mistackes, I apologize I started doing cross stitch about 5 years ago. I love it. While I am doing cross stitching I feel relaxed and calm. At this age usually girls prefer to have party, then to stay at home and stitch I also like to do bead embroidery. I would love to share some pistures with you. Do you usually post pictures here or I have to create an other topic? Being on this forum is a great opportunity for me to find good friends, find more information about my hobby and also to improve my English Thank you for reading this

Hi Iryna and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I think your English is pretty good. How long have you been in Toronto? I hope you will post pictures of your work. One of our forums is theStitch-a-long forum where we post pictures and get and give feedback about our different projects. Feel free to go there and start a thread for all your projects or one of your projects. Read some of the different threads and you will get a pretty good idea of what to do. What types of stitching do you like to do? I look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to the forum, Iryna, and hello from Colorado. I'm glad you've found the calm that stitching provides. I've always found it a way to relax, both physically and mentally. None of my friends stitch (they say they'd never have the patience for it...I say they've never given it a chance), so discovering this forum has been wonderful for me and I think it will be for you as well.

Thank you so much! I am happy that you like my pieces. Most of my friends don't understand me to. Thet think cross-stitching is borring, but when they see my projects, they usually ask to stitch smth. for them
