This piece is called Space Traveler by David Hoffrichter (from Heaven and Earth Designs). I'm a bit of a Whovian, but I also just love this photo. After I finished my HAED, You and I, I found this one and was given it for free as part of their rewards program. I also decided to test out two new products; Easy-Count Guideline and Thread Heaven. The fabric I'm using is 25ct white Lugana. I am also attempting to stitch with the parking method because there is a lot of confetti in this piece.

I took a long break from stitching... three years too long. In the past couple months, I've completed a couple 5"x7" pieces in the last couple months and recently picked up this one again. It took a while to get going again because the parking method just left me with all these threads parked and I couldn't remember which was which, so I gave up on that. Then I had to relabel all of my bobbins because all the stickers were popping off (about 60% of them were coming off after three years). Then I procrastinated some more by sorting through all my stash. Below is the progress I've made in the past couple weeks.

Must NOt let my youngest daughter see this. She'll be wanting me to stitch it for her.

Good luck with the stitching - you have a long task ahead.

 Welcome back! And :applesauce: for this new update! I can't imagine trying to catch up on a piece with what probably looked like a gazillion threads hanging down after 3 years. Are you planning to start parking again? I can't manage more than 2 or 3 threads and really admire all the "parkers" out there.

I was interested to see in your signature that you have Sandra Kuck's "Dancing with the Cat" in your signature. I am nearly half way through this one, and have loved stitching it. It is one of the few HAEDs I have that I am not (yet) taking a break from after completing a page. Just completed the top 2 rows. You can find my thread here. Looking forward to seeing your next update if you get back to that one, and certainly of your current project!

Welcome back. And good for you, picking up that piece with the hanging threads and bobbin issues. I'm glad you did because I love the design and can't wait to see more of it.

Thank you for all the welcome backs! <3

Hell no! It was confusing when I started it and I did not enjoy the threads everywhere. I will 'park' a color occasionally if I've nowhere to secure it in the back, however, I much prefer cross country.
rcperryls wrote:"Dancing with the Cat" ... if you get back to that one
I honestly haven't touched it since my last posting on that thread but one day I would like to get back to it. For now, it'll stay as a UFO.

Well done for sorting out all the threads and understanding where you left off ! :applesauce: I often find myself in the same situation. It takes me ages to recover my bearings.
Looking forward to your progress pics! :D

I'm so jealous....design had been pulled from HaED before I saw it and it can't be had for love nor money.

I'm looking forward to enjoying it vacariously through your updated.
