OT. grandma in hospital

a few days ago my Grandma (Oma as I call her) went into surgery for a broken hip ball. she seemed to be doing well in recovery, until this morning. Oma started having trouble breathing, and a ct scan showed the lower portion of one lung has collapsed and has dead tissue. she is being treated but they dont believe she will survive.
Oma is very special to me, she taught me so much of the things I enjoy doing, from cross stitch to cooking. I could go on and on about all she has been to me but that would take forever.
My mom has been keeping me up to date by text, and I keep hoping the next update will be good news but a part of me knows this is probably the end.

I'm so sorry. I know that many of us here have been faced with losing someone we love, and it's always a wrench, no matter the circumstances. But your Oma has given you something really precious: her skills –- and taught you how to use them, into the bargain. No matter how things work out, you will aways have these abilities plus your memories, which are priceless gifts. You are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that even though each of us are here for just a short while, all the memories that we have will last for eternity. All the love that we share with others does not stop when one passes, it continues on. She knows how much you love her and you will miss her forever but I truly believe that we will see those people again. Crying is the way for the body to heal, just like when you cut yourself, you bleed. That's what encourages healing and it's the same way with tears so don't hold those back. Warm big hugs for you
