where to buy kits

Post by deweycat »

Hi

I was just wondering if anybody knows of a site that offered new kit designs. I've been checking quite a few sites (crafters gallery, 123 stitch, stitch and sew more but I can't think of the names right now) and they always have the same kits never anything new, and the ones they have I'm not overly interested in. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Not opposed to patterns either just can't seem to find any of those I like either

What kind of kits/patterns are you interested in. We could maybe make better suggestions if we know the type of pattern that you are interested in.

I'm not 100% sure I know what I want but hoping when I see it I'll know. The ones I have done in the past are
bucilla - Live Simple Be Content (currently working on)
dimmesions- winters hush, furry friends, and too pooped
I would post pictures but I can't figure out how to do that
Thanks

You might see something you like at The Stitchery
They have some exclusive kits but they seem rather pricey to me :? I do enjoy flipping through their catalog and see quite a few things I'd love to stitch.
Herrschners is the same way....lots of the same kits but some sold exclusively by them.

You could try Everything Cross Stitch or is you don't mind getting PDF files there is also Patterns Online. I have ordered from both locations and they are very good.

If you check on the sites there is usually a button for NEW releases.

Unconvential X Stitch has kits that you won't find in the mainstream outlets:

Artecy offers 2 free patterns every two weeks:

Click on Free Patterns on the blue bar.

Golden Kite has patterns and kits:

I don't know what they offer in kits, but they have gorgeous patterns

Hoffman is a distributor. You can't order from them, but you can look at what they distribute and then use their locator to find where to get the patterns:

Don't be afraid of looking at charts by themselves, it can see a bit daunting if you are just used to kits, but it gets cheaper as you build up more stash. But IMO there is far more choice with chart only than with made up kits.
