Treasure Hunt Bookshelf, Updated 2020

Post by meganjoelle »

Here is the start on my next project, a long skinny panel out of “Treasure Hunt Bookshelf” by Aimee Stewart. It’s from the “normal sized version” of the chart. This is the smallest project I’ve ever done, enabling me to use a larger count fabric for the first time! I’m using 18 count Adia (3 over 1) and love it! So far the pattern is very detailed and full of confetti… but this doesn’t seem to be bothering me yet because the colours are so pretty. I can’t imagine the mini version of this- the confetti would be insane!!!

Here is the what the finished piece will look like (or somewhat look like :o )

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely start on this! Did you just choose the panel you wanted to stitch from the whole chart? All I've seen is the QS besides the full chart. I like the idea of doing part of it as it is sooooo busy. Would make lots of lovely smaller (for an HAED) pieces.

Yes Carole, I chose the section and have isolated it from the whole chart :D
This section jumped out at me and I've been wanting to do a "smaller" project for awhile now.
I'm still considering two doing two other panels to make it a split three panel project (but haven't decided on whether I will do this yet).
There is so much detail in this chart it's nice to break it up... I think this slightly changes the focal point and enables more appreciation of the detail :D

I have done heaps more stitching on this recently! So many single stitches left to fill! I'm really loving the colors anyway :)
