4 topiary trees- finally finished

Post by mauveme »

Started last nite, and an interesting start too.Did the boarder for one tree, got that done , used the wrong colour :tantrum: :tantrum: .Frogged it out and redid it. (using the laptop and had to enlarge the chart and the symbols are a little blurry, but if I was paying attention Iwould have noticed that the colour of the boarder didn't match the colour I used first  --my bad)
There are 4 trees, seasonal so am doing them all on one piece of fabric. Two up, two down. This one is Spring.

:applesauce: :applesauce: It looks great after you had to restart it. I hate when that happens though it is better sooner rather than later. This is going to be so pretty. Good idea to start with Spring! Put winter off to the very end? Would be understandable this year  Looking forward to seeing more!

Despite the false start...this looks really good. I like trees, especially seasonal designs.
Shall watch this with interest. :D :applesauce:

Beautifully stitched, Linda. :D
I love this design - I did spring and summer separately.

After I finished Spring I realized that I did this for an exchange a few years ago.
And I am beginning to think I am a magnet for pattern anomilies. The bar at the top of the pattern that connects the two sides is 15 sts long, as I did summer when I counted it was 16 sts long and I thought that the spring was 15 and I was right, then I found that autumn is also 16 sts long and winter is 17 sts long but the charts on all 4 say the width is 59 sts wide. Good thing I started Spring first and then counted the rest, I won't make any difference to make them all 15 sts but really, again I have to correct something..

Oh how annoying. :tantrum:
I never noticed that, but I only stitched the trees without the border.

I'm just glad I noticed it before I got I got the boarder for summer stitched, it's an easy adjust at least.
