Kezzy wrote:Great projects - love the Game of Thrones banners and don't be too disappointed with the Daenerys Targaryen as I think it looks great. Where did you get the banners from or did you design it yourself? Looking forward to seeing more of your projects :applesauce:
The banners were actually bookmarks and it was a free pattern on DeviantArt: http://black-lupin.deviantart.com/art/G ... -285861127

rcperryls wrote::applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely projects. I especially love the 12 days of Christmas, but they are all great. Like what you plan to do with the Woodland Sampler also. Looking forward to seeing that one progress! carladee just completed stitching it and Megan (maemae0410) stitched it about a year ago, I think. I'm glad that we have another one in progress because it is really fun to watch this one being stitched!

Thanks Carole! It was my first time stitching a sampler and I found myself really looking forward to the monthly emails. (not that I ever stitched it on time for the next month hahaha). I feel like I went a bit overboard with the FS patterns last year, so this year I want to focus on a HAED or SQ :D

guenever wrote:all your projects are awesome! i LOVE the GoT pieces. i love that show although i haven't tried the books. the series is complicated enough! the banner is terrific! where did you get that pattern?

and Daenerys is beautiful. i can see why you are unhappy with the color loss--but the stitching is gorgeous--it looks sepia toned. but you can still see all the detail in hair and face. just lovely!

and the cute Nyan cat--how fun to stitch!

thanks for sharing and welcome to the board!
Same here, love the show but I won't touch the books (for now). Can't stand spoilers, or I know the small changes (in details) would just drive me crazy lol.
Do you like watching it week by week? Or wait for a GoT and stitching marathon? That's my style haha

Here are some of the projects I'm currently working on.

An abstract piece from a Burda magazine. I have gridded about 1/4 of the total squares:

My sister got this stamped cross stitch kit from China last summer, and this is for our grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary in August. This is the front of the piece (from a week ago), and it's kinda hard to see where I already stitched:

Here's the back view (from two nights ago). I have done most of the flowers on the side, and half of the bamboo:

The total size is 112 cm x 55 cm, but luckily not all of it is stitched

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely. Your grandparents are going to love this gift! and the mosaic piece looks really interesting. I expect it is a nice change from the Chinese pattern every once in a while.
