Here is my current project... It's called "Big Girl Panties" because when I am finished her sign will say "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!"
I am getting so antsy because I am so close to being done, and this is one I started in Jan '07 and have never gotten around to finishing! But it's very hard for me to find the time lately in between my three jobs and whatnot. Anywho, here's the picture! I apologize for all the hoop wrinkles...
I need to finish the two borders, do all the French knots, and backstitching, and that's it!! I am so bad at French knots, though.
The design looks really cuuuute! I will love to see this piece finished...I'm sure it will doubly be lovely when you finish with the sign, border, backstitching and french knots!

Thanks for the tutorial! I will definitely check it out. I am even more nervous now about the French knots because I counted them on the pattern, and there are 46!
Anyway, I made some great progress last night after posting the picture, and am almost done with the black border!
Aww, don't be nervous. I did them for the first time on a recent project and they were fine to do, infact I've even put them in (when they aren't meant to be there) on other work as I quite like doing them.
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Maeflowers, this looks like a fun project. I can't wait to see the finished product. It made me chuckle though, being in a house full of men for the last 25 years I hadn't heard the word "panties" in a long time. It's so girly. Boys wear Underwear or "big boy shorts" as my boys called them when transitioning from diapers to superman or ninja turtle underwear.
But I must have missed something - you all said you liked these series - but what is the name? Who is the designer? Sorry, if it was there and I just didn't see - there is so much to read this weekend!

Unfortunately since I last posted on here I have made ZERO progress on this project! It is hard to get back to when you have so many things to do. Yet it has been eating at my brain ever since! I am so close to being finished, it's embarrassing!
It's okay maeflowers....sometimes, we really get soooo busy and can't find a single moment to stitch...so, don't be embarrassed about it. We all do get busy.
Hope that you'll soon get back on it! ...will love to see it done!
