Any other people out there who enjoy painting by numbers? I only tried it for the first time last year, but found it quite enjoyable and relaxing.
This is the finished product. (excuse the crappy picture quality, i blame my ipod
)
And this is gonna be my next project, already bought but not starter yet. Its a bit larger this time, but i just loved the colours and couldn't resist!
If you have any painting by number projects yourself or are thinking about starting one, please do share some of your pictures or ideas!

Wow.. the ones I tried never looked that good! I have one somewhere that is part way done that got abandoned because I didn't like how it was turning out - it was too blocky. I suppose I could have tried blending colors myself or something! Yours looks fantastic!

Thank you very much!
It sort of depends on how much money you want to spend on it and also the brand. The cheap ones generally don't look that great, like you said very blocky. The ones i bought are around 40 euros (or 50 dollars for the Americans and 32 pounds for the brits). Where i live you dont have a lot of choice in brands. Basicly its Ravensburger or Schipper. Schipper is a lot better quality. So it pays off to shop around and find a design that you like, there are good ones out there

Wow, that very cool! It looks amazing. I don't think I have a steady enough hand to be able to paint something like that. I like your new project too. They both look so peaceful!

Thank you all. It does take a long time to finish, but in that respect i don't think its much different from doing a big cross stitch project. I love doing both, they're the only crafts i do. Tried knitting once but it was a disaster

You can have the painting and I'll keep the knitting then
Knitting's the one craft where I feel confident enough to tackle any project at all, no matter how difficult.

congrats! It looks amazing!
I never tried paint by numbers, hubby is a watercolor and acrylic painter and after a few trials I decided I better leave that art to him

Beautiful painting! My mother used to do paint by numbers. She wasn't a craft person but always enjoyed those. I used to do those large posters that you colored in with different colored pens. My husband was an artist and painted in oils so I pretty much stopped painting and like Karen prefer to do my painting with needle and thread.

I used to love doing painting by numbers when I was very young, I love these grown up versions. Makes me want to pick up a brush!

I started one of these about 6 years ago, but I quickly abandoned it. I don't really remember why, but apparently it didn't hold my attention.
This looks great though!

Very nice! I loved paint by number, but as others have noted, it was always very blocky. I've been more afraid to do the elaborate ones because of the past experience, but after seeing yours, it looks fantastic and like a lot of fun!
