Christmas fair

I was selling my "products" at a Christmas fair on Sunday. It was in a small village called Vattholma, about 20 km from Uppsala, and I had a fantastic time. I sold for about 900 SEK, which would be roughly £90. Not much but covers what I spent on buying material and paying for the table, and there is about 200 that I raised for charity (the quilt group that our Ali organizes). And I am very happy with it.

Everything from this basket was sold for the charity - felt hair clips and key-rings, and I made cross stitch kits with my own patterns and I actually sold two of them.

I learnt a lot about what sells well at these fairs so I will be even better prepared next year, and not as stressed as now.

And I took a big box of the small things to my school and the fund-raising for the charity goes on.

But what impresses me the most is that the craft fair was held outdoors, in the winter, in Sweden.
When I did Christmas craft fairs here in Vancouver, I used to whine about carrying my stuff from the car into the building in the snow or rain.
You are amazing.

Well done! And what a great start: you covered your costs and raised some funds for charity. Apart from the designs, which are wonderful, you also set the table out really nicely with the sectioned boxes and the pinboard to show off decorations, the baskets of goodies, and your own bags. It looks such an inviting "shop" that I'm not surprised that folk were enticed to spend.

That green and white kitty is super cute! Everything looks so nice! I totally would have bought something, my car may be from Sweden, but I alas am not.
